Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I know if I am a candidate for microblading?

Almost anyone is a candidate for microblading or hybrid brows! Our clients ages range from 18 to 74! An ideal client for microblading has normal to dry skin, smaller pores and skin that is not extremely sensitive. If you consider yourself to be more oily, we may recommend hybrid brows or powder brows as those tend to heal better and last longer than just traditional microblading on oily skin. Microblading is NOT SAFE for women who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding as hormonal changes can cause the pigment to fade extremely fast, turn different colors or not heal right.

How long does microblading last?

This really depends on the client and the service we choose to go with for you. It can also depend on the amount of sun exposure you have, the skin care products you use and the integrity of your skin. Microblading typically requires yearly touch ups to keep things looking fresh and sharp and hybrid brows may last a few months longer, on average. If you were to not get any touch ups you may have a faint shadow of microblading left after 3-5 years!

What is the difference between hybrid, microblading and powder brows?

Natural microblading is done with a manual tool only! Individual, fine hair strokes are made with a blade like tool and pigment is then placed into those individual strokes throughout your brow. The results look just like natural hairs! Hybrid brows is microblading AND some added shading that is done with an electric tattoo pen! The shading adds a little bit more depth and dimension to the brow and can also create the illusion that there is some makeup on your brow.Powder brows are done with a machine only and create an ombre, powdered makeup look.

What is Lip Blushing?

Lip blushing is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing procedure that enhances the natural color and shape of your lips, giving them a more defined, fuller appearance. It's a form of micropigmentation, where pigment is implanted into the lips using small needles. The process is similar to that of traditional tattooing, though it's considered semi-permanent because the pigments are not implanted as deeply into the skin, and they tend to fade over time, usually lasting anywhere from 2 to 3 years, depending on factors like lifestyle, skin type, and exposure to sun.

Do I need a consultation prior to scheduling a service?

No! We do not require consultations before your service! We can answer any questions over direct message, email or text. Emailing us at info@adornstudiowi.com is the best route.

What is Botched Ink Revive & Removal?

Botched Ink revive can successfully lift, improve or remove oversaturated, bad or unwanted permanent makeup. The process can also improve scar tissue caused by a heavy hand or laser service. Sessions are completed 8 weeks apart and it is best to plan for a minimum of 3 sessions.

What is a lash line enhancement?

A lash line enhancement is a semi permanent tattooed shadow along your lash line (like a really thin, faint eyeliner) that creates the illusion of darker and fuller lashes! This service typically takes about 1.5 hours and can last a few years.

What do i need to do to prepare for my permanent makeup appointment?

To prepare for these services, you must avoid caffeine, alcohol and blood thinners like ibuprofen/advil for 24 hours prior to your service. You must also avoid retinol and vitamin E products near the area for 2 weeks prior to the procedure. If you are having your brows done, do not pluck or wax your brows for 2 weeks prior to and after the appointment! (we will clean up any stray hairs at the time of the appointment)

Does it hurt?

For most clients - no! For all permanent makeup appointments, we use a pre numbing topical lotion with lidocaine prior to starting any tattooing and also add a secondary numbing throughout the appointment. Some clients even fall asleep during the procedure after the secondary numbing gel has been applied!
